The company was founded by Dean and Karen Husted in 1991, and incorporated as
Desert Homes Development, Inc. in 1995.

Upon Dean’s passing in 2021, Karen was awarded her general contractor’s license and continues the business with the same attention to detail and personal attention
inspired by Dean.

DHDI specializes in full home remodeling and is proud to have been awarded 2022 Best Of Scottsdale in the Single Family House Remodeling category for the 11th consecutive year. The company has been named to the Scottsdale Business Hall of Fame.
